"We absolutely loved this apartment, which was spacious, luxurious, clean, and perfectly located. We had our own elevator access, our own parking space (extra cost), but most of all, the place was SO nice! There were windows at every angle, big rooms, a lovely kitchen, a clean bathroom: it was our favorite stay of the trip."

If I had to provide some advice on improvements since the hotel looks to be a fairly new one: 1) room temperature thermostat and lighting was way too complicated to figure out - super high tech but we just wanted to turn the heat and air off but couldn’t. 2) keep the gym open later and open it earlier. "The property was exactly as advertised and our family of 4 enjoyed our stay. The location was great with it being easy to walk to any of the big tourists spots and there was parking. We reached out to the owners several times and they were amazing! The only item of not is the property is on a Main Street in a city across from a bus stop so there is some road noise but that is to be expected."

"This hotel was in the upper range of my price point, but well worth it. The location is down a street from the bars/cafes and souvenir shops and up a street from some classier restaurants. Reykavich pretty much closes down early evening so street noise was never an issue. Our room was spacious by Icelandic standards, clean with a great shower. The breakfast buffet was fabulous so we could have skipped having lunch for the day. Front desk was excellent at handling paperwork and baggage storage....

"Situated in a great downtown location with many restaurants within a few minutes. Friendly helpful staff who will provide concierge advice. Provided a wonderful breakfast, if included in your price for the room. Interesting collection of buildings with fairly small rooms, the only negative being a very small dark unlit shower."

"The Swan House is in a good area for accessing everything in Reykjavik. The apartment and neighborhood were quiet and the host was so helpful with prompt responses to emails. Lots of pubs and good places to eat within a few blocks. Convenience stores were also fairly close."

"We stayed in the Grandi for 6 days. It was great! Loved the spa amenities and the buffet breakfast. It was in a perfect location. Staff gave us great recommendations for restaurants. We loved Iceland. The downside was the gym! Very small with few pieces of equipment. My husband and I could not work out at the same time."

"Hard to get used to the 'contactless check in'. No humans around. The apartment was adequate, but there were a few things that should be addressed. I needed to iron a dress, and, yes there was an iron, and an ironing board that would sit on a table. Except that there was nowhere in the apartment where I could plug in the iron and use a table for the ironing board! I would have to rearrange the apartment. Also, the outlets in the bedroom were only accessible by crawling under the bedside tables....

The missing star is only because the common noise complaints are real, since the hotel is situated above the American Bar. But what it loses in noise it makes up for in its location, which seems like a decent trade off. Would stay here again."

"Overall a great place. Nice clean and modern. Fantastic location in the downtown area. Had a nice little kitchen space and great small fridge. Shower was the best I've ever had. Tons of water and pressure. Downsides are it can be a little noisy. Never got any air flow to cool the room down some. It's small."
