"We had a wonderful time at the Plough Inn. The young lady who worked there could not do enough for us and she worked so hard from serving teas and coffees in the afternoon to helping with the evenings meals. All the staff were very friendly and courteous and the room was lovely overlooking the garden. Our meal was very nice and breakfast had good choices."

"Our room was clean and had good facilities. It was in a separate block to the main bar and restaurant, which was welcomed. Breakfast not available until 9am, which is quite late. A great stopping off point whilst walking the Thames Path."

"The Vines I believe has been recently taken over by new owners/management. They are still trying to find their feet, but are open and upfront about it from the moment you check in. The staff were friendly and helpful, the beer cold and crisp, the room clean and peaceful. I think once they get their rhythm the vines will only get better, though I did enjoy the feeling of it being like coming home to mum and dads which sometimes is a good thing and needed."

"Easy check in, staff were super helpful. Room was a great size, clean and nice and bright. Struggled to get the app to connect to my Expedia booking to control all the mod-cons but it wasn't critical - I could still use the TV remote the old fashioned way! Really enjoyed our stay here as an overnight stop to break up a long journey and would definitely recommend to other travellers!"

"Only thing that let it down was what we think was a sensor on the external door repeatedly beeping all night and the street lights shining through the top of the curtains making the room a bit too bright. Other than that it was an excellent stay, lovely pub, food, service, drinks and room. The homemade rhubarb drink was amazing "

"LOVED IT! If you want to experience English inns, stay here. Beautiful, peaceful, albeit very European with the room configuration and bathroom setups, but a very fair trade off for the environment. That is actually one of the reasons I chose it, reliving childhood experiences of quaint English inns. Beautiful, peaceful and affordable. Right near Bibury Trout Farm & the Cotswolds or, I suggest the small village of Carterton for a nice slice of pizza."
