"The wifi service did not work the entire time I was there. After asking several times about the issue, across 3 days and 4 staff members, each gave different answers. Ranging from it must be jammed up with many people using it to "I don't know, sorry", to I'll ask the manager, to we'll reboot it. One staff member said they had great connectivity. I pointed out that was the "staff wifi", not the guest wifi. Which connects for maybe 1-2 minutes then drops. And I tried at all times of the day. If...

"The bar staff need some serious training, terrible service on Saturday evening , staff looked like university students clueless and zero customer service The room was ok, lots of fluff and dust under the bed, no I didn't deliberately check, I dropped something and saw it, the shower cubicle needs a good scrub too! And no fridge in the room!"

"The staff were efficient and professional. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast staff were rushed off their feet and it was obvious that more staff were needed as tables were stacked with used crockery and the breakfast items ran out in several areas. Not the fault of the staff on duty but the issue of needing more staff. I would also have preferred not to have to pay for parking albeit reduced."

"Comfortable room and stay. Leisure facilitates were good. Great sized pool. Main house was beautiful and staff helpful. There appeared to be a lack of signage where the reception was etc. Breakfast was amazing and good value."

"A hidden gem in a fantastic location. It doesn't look much from the outside, but this is a great hotel, a 2 minute walk from Gun Wharf and the Historic Dockyard. Friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend"

"The location is excellent for shopping and dining and ferry access to IOW etc. breakfast is bountiful. Room was clean and bed comfortable..all ok BUT for I requested a quieter room as a light sleeper and all ok until evening when pub/club opposite the room started blasting music to 12. Disappointed that no regard was made to my request and no suggestion of a problem with the request until I was experiencing it."

"The location is great the bathroom to our room was up some stairs from the bedroom the door opened out towards the stairs covering the handrail so could be a problem for some coming down the stairs from the bathroom. The bedroom was also up flights of stairs The mattress needs to go in the bin now! "The room was lovely, it was spotless & had everything that you needed. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Wendy was lovely & very welcoming. I can't recommend highly enough. I wil definitely be going back when I'm there again. "

"Lovely hotel very close to the beach. We especially appreciated the on site restaurant has a vegan dinner menu and plenty of vegan options in the breakfast buffet. Our room was clean and spacious and felt much more like a comfortable and well decorated bedroom than a traditional hotel. A+"
