"Lovely apartment in a historic building, ideally located just outside the city centre, but within easy walking distance of all places of interest in York. Nice touch of leaving a bottle of bubbly in the fridge - a good sign that the hosts are attentive. The apartment itself is well furnished and equipped, and really does feel like a home from home. The room was comfortable, the hotel has a nice atmosphere, and I paid for one of the top-tier rooms expecting a premium experience consistent with previous stays I’ve had not only here, but at other Hotel du Vin properties across the country. "The room was small but clean, had a comfortable bed and nice bathroom. The guest kitchen and sitting area was a great bonus and had everything you needed to cook a meal. Nour was the most friendly and helpful host. He arranged a parking permit for £5 pound a day. Easy walking distance to town centre."

The bed was comfortable and clean, air conditioner worked great and the shower was excellent. "Infrastructure needs some upgrade especially for the high prices. The family room at the attic is spacious and better maintained but the stairs are a killer! 3 floors, no elevator. The breakfast was the worse part. There was nothing. Everything was missing. For two days in a row. They should bot bother serving that to people. All and all, for the price you can get better hotels closer to the city center."
