"Such a lovely guest house, the interiors were absolutely beautiful. Our room was spacious and comfortable, featuring classic period furniture. The bed was very cosy. The bathroom was perfect. The shower was spacious with excellent water pressure. Tasty cooked breakfast. Location was great, about a 20 min walk in to York City Centre. Highly recommend."

"Really great hotel with so much attention to detail. Record players in the room and a huge selection of records is a really nice touch. The Radio was on when we arrived to our room and the Pantry is generous & a really unique touch. Canadian lady on the Bar was knowledgeable & super friendly (Pleasantly surprised at how reasonable the extensive bar menu was priced). Just really really cool & great location."

"Only one criticism I have is about the parking .There are only 2 parking spaces at the B&B this only came to my attention when I had booked and received the welcome email/text .i was lucky while I was staying I managed to get one for the 3 days .Other than its a great place to stay very clean and well maintained ."

"The rooms were nice & clean . It was in a good spot, short walk into the center. Friendly staff. The carpark was a nightmare to get into & out, very narrow entry through the building & had to pass a few obstacles getting in & out, (car & laundry cage) we actually scrapped our wheel trim getting out around a parked van outside when leaving otherwise it was a pleasant stay."

"The hotel is perfectly placed in the centre of York and easy to get to. The staff were lovely and were able to accommodate giving us a lower-level room, which was so helpful (especially when pregnant in a heatwave!). There were lots of options available in the mini bar as well as teas, coffees, etc. The room was very comfortable and clean - we will definitely return next time we come to York."

"Hotel was perfect for our needs, outside the centre but just a 10 minute walk away from it so quiet on a night. Clean well maintained bedroom with a lovely shower. The staff were so friendly and helpful, they went over and above to help us. The hotel was so good we're thinking of going back later in the year."

"Hotel and staff were very friendly and some went the extra mile to make everything top class, including lots of tongue in cheek banter ! The only drawback was at breakfast as it was difficult to move between equipped stations (must have just hit at high peak time) so some of the hot food weren’t replenished quick enough, but the staff were soon on it. Very close to the centre and choice of close by car parks also reasonably priced. Would definitely go back and stay"

"Lovely property, very friendly and helpful staff, and a nice breakfast … but the bedrooms were SO HOT they were unbearable. Both of our rooms were at the front of the building with the widows in full sun all day while the bay windows barely opened so there was no air at all. The receptionist could only offer a poor fan that actually pumped out warm air. If we hadn’t had family also staying we would 100% have bailed. The owner needs to sort out some air con because the world isn’t going to get...
