"Our room was lovely and clean. There was an extra rollaway bed in the room which we didn't ask for which took up the space below the window making access difficult. The king bed was very comfortable. Loved the breakfast, plenty if choices. Concierge were extremely helpful in getting a taxi when our booked taxi didn't turn up. We had a lovely stay, we would definitely stay again."

"The Rubens is a very nice upscale hotel with a great location in the heart of Westminster and literally across the street from Buckingham Palace. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable although very small. The food, unfortunately, is very mediocre although priced as if it was excellent. The continental breakfast buffet is the worst I've seen in a hotel of this category. The croissants were fresh and good but there were hardly any choices and...

"I’ve stayed in a few pod hotels, and this was by far the most modern; new but also cool. However the QR code system to get in everywhere is very annoying and at the end of the day it’s a hostel with the same flaws all hostels have (smelly, unclean, unloved). It was however only £70 for a night in central London… beggars can’t be choosers I guess!"

As we checked in late due to travel issues which I had informed the hotel of in the morning, we found they had changed our room to one I had not chose."
