"Great modern hotel in central Birmingham. Has a small spa on site which you can use at a discounted rate as a guest. Was surprised to see there wasn’t a pool there but other facilities you can use. You can’t prebook the spa which is a shame, only hope there’s availability on the day. We had an issue with the drainage in our room, however once notified, staff were efficient at relocating and upgrading us for the inconvenience. I found staff to be very polite and attentive. "Great welcome and easy guide through the services available during the stay. Apartment equipped with all you would need for a short visit. Sofa bed was very comfortable and easy to bring out and put away. Probably one of the calmest places I've stayed in. Great location for easy access to the city. Would definitely recommend and stay again."

Rooms were comfortable It is a convenient distance from the coach station and the shopping area, but the area is very rough, and didn't always feel safe. "The hotel is situated just outside the Mail box and overlooks the canal network in the heart of Birmingham. Excellent location and handy car park. Lots of bars, shops and restaurants within a pleasant stroll. The hotel itself is quite minimalist but has a bar, coffee area and breakfast restaurant. "We had reserved two rooms. One of the rooms had such an awful, musty smell that it hit you as soon as you opened the door. We notified reception and were given a bottle of air freshener. Sprayed half a bottle in the room and went out to dinner. When we came back smell was still there and still as pungent. TV was also not working so we called reception again. Member of staff came up to try and fix the TV and noticed the smell (almost like they had not believed us when raised the first time). We...

Emma on reception check in was great - she afforded me a room upgrade per my Expedia VIP booking - this doesn't happen very often. Staff are friendly and the room is well appointed.
