"The family room was on the 3rd floor with two windows which were in poor condition. Only one was safe to open. The room was spacious with a lovely bathroom. The breakfast was very good as was the restaurant where we had dinner one evening. Staff were always very helpful and polite."

"Excellent stay - friendly staff all members I met including the ladies who do the cleaning are polite and helpful…clean rooms always freshen up when your out for the day, only negative would be breakfast didn’t have fresh fruit option and toast was pretty basic not much choice"

"The rooms were a good size with everything you needed, tea/coffee, water, hairdryer and iron.
The staff were all friendly and helpful, even when the fire alarm went off at 4am!
The problem we had was a cold shower, there was no hot water."

"Beautiful, spacious room. Comfortable bed. Great amenities in the room including aircon and iron, only thing missing that would have been useful was a fridge. Staff are extremely helpful and welcoming. Brilliant breakfast with sea views. Direct access to the beach. Free parking. Bus stop outside to get into Brighton. I highly recommend this hotel."

"There is no handicap ramp or lift to access the rooms. This was not mentioned in the website description.
And there is no staff to help moving baggage upstairs using the staircase.
Food in the bar is good. But rug in the hallway is dangerous to precipitate a fall."

"Came on a busy Saturday, could have done with more bar staff, bar area was too crowded with tables around it making access to the bar difficult. Did not dine there but food looked good, shame breakfast was not served but was directed to a cafe that served excellent breakfast. Our room was excellent but could have had a hook on the bathroom door.Had a great stay there. Thank you."

"We stayed here for a wedding in Cuckfields and this hotel was in a very good location for this. The hotel itself is very nice, being a lovely old building.
The room was a bit small for two people and the bathroom did feel a bit run down/shabby.
Also - while I appreciate it was a bit of an unprecedented situation, we were there in one of the heatwaves this summer and really struggled with the heat. Given the age of the building, I would not expect AC, but the fans provided were tiny so...
