The property is stunning, the food is delicious, the staff are incredibly helpful & the location is quite beautiful - it’s separate from the busy downtown of Victoria but still close enough to easily get to town quickly, with some coastal walks nearby! "I couldn't stay because I did not have a credit card....not impressed"

"The guy on reception was very helpful and allowed us to move rooms as the first one was very dark and had a strange aroma. Our second room was lighter and spacious but sadly the aircon unit tripped the lights and sockets. Breakfast was not the best and only had frozen gluten free bread as a gluten free option. I can understand why some people like it, but we wouldn’t book again."

"Fantastic hotel! Our room (224) was wonderful. It felt like a mini apartment! The balcony was adorable. The beds were the most comfortable hotel beds we’ve ever slept on. The pillows were excellent. The room was clean. The deep soaker tub was the perfect way to end a long day of flights and travel. 10/10 recommend!"

"Location was everything about the empress. Great food at the hotel and near with walkable access to the heart of Victoria. Highly recommend renting a car as a lot of cool castles and beaches are close drives away. The garden was fantastic and live music and salmon at the hotel restaurant was great ."
