"We had problems with the heater and air conditioning in the room not working. The staff came to try to fix it but were not successful. We had a bad nights sleep due to how hot it was in the room. "We stayed 2 nights in a suite. The room was delightful and we slept very well. Dinner both nights was outstanding and we wished we could have stayed longer to try out more of the menu ! Breakfast was freshly cooked each morning and also delicious. Would definitely return. "

We had a bad experience with one of the waiters in the restaurant where it took 25 minutes to get our order taken after sitting down and 55 minutes before finally getting the food. Being a small village there was not really an option to go elsewhere. We normally stay in Henley where there are lots of good restaurants "

"The bedrooms and halls probably needed to be refurbished 30 years ago. They certainly are long overdue a completely overhaul today. The bathroom was grimy and there was no excuse for not providing a single chair in the room. What was the point in providing even the tired dressing/table desk without one?"
