"All staff were excellent, super friendly and helpful, I'd booked an attic room but seeing my husband on crutches they immediately swapped us into a first floor room which I think was an upgrade as it had a huge freestanding copper bath and Chesterfield sofa as well as a king (or maybe super king) sized bed. "Had a lovely relaxing time with my girlfriend and her husband, room was so clean and had everything we needed, absolutely loved being able to log into Netflix on the tv which was a great size. We were checked in by a lovely young man who also served us our food, he was very attentive and even brought us extra sides for our burgers. "The room was clean. The door was a bit broken and one or two fittings needed to be replaced (very minor issues). The staff couldn't have been more helpful, the breakfast was excellent. My only observation on that was that not all the hot items were on the buffet at the same time. Not the biggest problem but I like to get my food and sit down without having to keep getting up to see if the fried eggs and black pudding had appeared. "Hotel is central to everything (shops, restaurants, theatre, bars etc) but hidden in a quiet street behind the theatre royal. The standard of rooms is excellent (lovely touches in each room makes you feel relaxed and cared for), we were also surprised at how quiet the rooms were. The breakfast was superb, with a wide range of quality food available. The staff are always well presented, friendly and approachable, helpful and knowledgable of both the hotel and the surrounding areas and events....
