"Very clean room and lovely staff "

"It's a good clean basic motel. Staff is friendly. Rooms are clean. It's close to the freeway. It's close to city central to be convenient, but far enough away to not be bothered by the crowds. There's a refrigerator in the room. There is a liquor store/market 100 feet away, and there are two good restaurant/bars within walking distance. It's 2 miles from the pier...about a $9 Lyft ride if you don't want to drive. There is no breakfast or vending machines, except for the soda vending machine and ice machine. It's not fancy, but it's clean and convenient. It's where I stay every time I visit San Clemente."

"There was actually no breakfast. The parking lot is really small. Our room floor was dirty. The rest of the room was very clean though. The bed was very comfortable. And the shower was very good. "

"My room wasn’t ready for 40 minutes but they let me do a late check up to make up for it. Room was clean but there were a few questions spots on the wall that were dirty. They were understaffed when I checked in but the cleaning ladies were super nice. Breakfast was good but I wish I had known to bring cash for a tip because someone makes it for you, this is great! The WiFi worked great and the netted bath tub was excellent. "

"Pool gate didn't lock and was accessible from street, pool was dirty, pool cleaner arrived before we had anytime at the pool and said we couldn't get in for half an hour after he was done, said there was a lot of chlorine and to shower very well afterwards, hotel room door didn't close properly so when I went back after sitting at the pool my door pushed open without using a key, decided to leave property, manager would not refund me. I was very unhappy with the condition of the property and lack of the customer service. I am attempting to charge back w my bank. The only reason I booked a hotel was to use a pool w my son, and I couldn't do that."

"The hotel is under construction. I woke up to guys working outside my window. The air conditioning didn't work, so it was hard to sleep in the first place. It smelled of dust and I could see dirt and dust inside the return air duct as it did not have a filter. There was a second return which was odd but it was a two room suite and that filter was filthy. Once construction is done and if they clean the duct this place will be fine but I was annoyed that there was no mention of the construction. "

"Parking was a bit cramped but not really a major issue. Unbeatable location, cool retro rooms that maintain the late1940s and 50s charm. Fun for train watching and the dynamic beach and peir scene. Loved it, will be back!"
