"We have stayed at this property multiple times over the years and this time we noticed the property has not been maintained well . The pool deck and lounge chairs definitely need attention. The prices have become ridiculous - $18 dollar drinks are higher than Las Vegas prices. The service was very good as always. Adrian the pool guy was great! "

"Mahekal is a beautiful resort. The lush foliage and palapa “cabins” make you feel like you’re a million miles away from everything, but it’s very convenient to great restaurants. It was peaceful and serene. The staff are all amazing, especially Meraz, Claudia and Jesus Brito in the Revive Spa. The hammocks in the balcony are just an added bonus. "Staff very friendly, Mexican and Italian restaurant very good, excellent room cleaning, swimming pool very good, access to beach very good, walkable distance to 5ta Avenida. Just a couple of suggestions; close the snack bar late, we were looking for coffee around 11.0 pm and there was no place where to get it, and find a way to keep some of the food warm at the buffet, a couple of times we got cold food, other than that, it was a very good experience.
