"The room was clean and the staff had made sure that the room was accommodating us with kids. The breakfast was lovely too! Unfortunately we had to check out earlier than planned due to a loss in the family on that day. We would love to come and visit again !"

"The staff members that I met were polite and helpful. The hotel is old and in need of refurbishment.The windows would not stay open on their own and bits of wood were supplied to keep them open. The lift was old and rickety as was the decor. The mattress was old and needed replacing. The shower was fine and the bedding and towels were clean. Ok if you are staying for one night as we were ,but would not book for any longer . Not value for money"

"Great location, but reception staff leave alot to be desired, I found them very condescending. Breakfast was average. Bedrooms were very stuffy as there wasnt any air conditioning, despite our room being a premier one. I wouldn't stay there again"

"Hotel is not fit to house a dog. Blood and semen on the bed, bed made out of wood, exposed electrics, shower door that doesn’t close. Half the building had pigeons flying around inside which we seen as we pulled up. All was reported to reception and asked for a refund, which was refused. We left and booked another hotel! After 2 hours of phone calls to hotels.com they agreed to refund for our booking. "

"You get what you pay for. Cheap accommodation suitable for 1-2 nights. Staff very helpful and let us leave bags with them after check out (as we had 4 hours until our train left). Sea view from the room was great. Room was a bit tired but again, expected when paying the low price we did."

"Please be aware that you need to upload a passport online to a third party company for every person over 16 that is staying at the property. We were not aware of this until after the free cancellation period was over. There is no mention in the listing or confirmation that the passport would be the only document accepted. "Nice bar and restaurant area - near to Folkestone and exit to channel tunnel so all good - local garages, Tesco’s M&S garage shop McD’ all in close Proximity. Rooms are clean and basic but with just what you need. Great to have food available on site plus the free Breakfast is perfect to set you on your way. Staff are willing to help with any needs - that are possible. Only gripe would be having to pay for car parking. So ideal place to stay if need to be near Folkestone and the Channel...

"The hotel has been tastfully refurbished but we did not feel valued as guests. First there was the email after booking. Most hotels use this to welcome you and tell you about some of the nice things to look forward to. This hotel just used it to tell me how wrong it woul, having paid in full upfront ,there was the demand for a £50 deposit on arrival. I was told it was to cover damages and was necessary "because the hotel was independent and couldn't afford to cover the losses". How sad! Hotel,...

"When we arrived, there was a mixup with the booking but they handled it really well. They gave us a room that we hadn’t booked which was fantastic. We then moved the next day into another lovely room. They bent over backwards and they couldn’t do enough for us it made my stay and my partners stay whose birthday it was on the Monday an absolutely fantastic time and may I just say thanks to Sam and the team for looking after us and making us so welcome. "We were at the Oyo hotel due to our other chalet being unavailable. When we arrived at the Oyo Stade hotel was so outdated. The Oyo Stade hotel lacked air conditioning, outlets, good mattresses and bed frames. The windows do not open Al the way so It was extremely hot. We asked for an extra fan and they accommodated us with that. They NOT have any laundry services available and the laundromats nearby open and close at inconvenient hours as we were there for a three day conference with a long day...

"Very clean room with plenty of tea making facilities and lots of hot water, fluffy towels and a comfortable bed. Helpful full length mirror in bedroom. Some of the communal areas look a bit tired, but staff welcoming and room was great for my needs (staying overnight in area ready for family get together). Great location for Hythe and walk along seafront short drive away."
