"Spotlessly clean, fabulous hosts and stocked with everything you could possibly need. Reading past reviews I was shocked at mentions of the floors being cold. It's an 18th century cellar for goodness sake!!! Stone floors are part of the charm. It is cosy and warm at this time of year (and I imagine lovely and cool in the summer).I would definitely stay again for its location, its cleanliness and its hosts. Can't fault it except for the mattress, which is a bit "argos" and could do with a good...

"Clean pleasant room that looked recently refurbished, with a kettle and microwave and a enough tea and coffee to survive a night and morning. A fridge and hairdryer was useful. Shower was good, stocked with shampoo and conditioner. Bathroom was clean. Otherwise it was basic but sufficient. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. "Centrally located, car park available. Comfortable bed and good shower, very nice staff. We had been notified a wedding party was in the hotel so expected perhaps to hear a bit of noise, we were amazed that our room was directly next to the outside/smoking area and above the party room. No double glazing. The very loud music and screaming continued long into the night culminating in a fight (was told this the next day). We got very little sleep. Mystified as to why we were not placed in a room...

"The carpets were very stained and the furniture was dated, but the room and the bathroom were clean, the bed was very comfortable. All the staff Clare, Flo and Judith were really helpful with checking in and any questions I had."
