"The property is 300 years old, and the daily rate amongst the cheapest for the area…so expectations should be set accordingly. The good: spacious rooms and some off-street parking out front. Easy to find and very quiet (despite being on a main road). Great double-paned windows. Check-in was easy. While the bar doesn’t serve food, there is heaps of amenity nearby. This was a good launching spot to explore Bristol and Bath (train a 5-10 min walk). The not-so-good: The room was surface level clean…but smelled quite strongly of smoke, and the bathroom in need of some fit and finish."

"Lovely hotel, clean, comfortable bed, hot powerful shower. Parking next door with a hotel discount when checking out. Quick check in. Great location for river and city centre. Lovely breakfast. Would definitely recommend."

"The hotel has real potential,we got upgraded free of charge to a suite. However it wasnt that clean. The bed & bathroom was, but the bedside table was dusty, and where the tea & coffee is kept there was spillages which hadn’t been cleaned. Also dents in the wall,and the carpet needed a good clean. Bed was very comfy though and room was nice and spacious. Just needs a deep clean and a furniture re do! "

"Clean and spacious room. Comfortable beds, no noise from the street. Very centrally located hotel, near restaurants, pubs and cafes. Good breakfast selection. Helpful and welcoming staff. Nothing negative to say - my partner and I really enjoyed our stay and would come back without any hesitation! "

"Great that parking is included and great central location. We had to leave at 4am and the very kind gentleman in reception walked my mother and I to the car park as we were a little nervous."

"Just spent a night. Close to Central Train Station (7-10mins walk). Clean Room, T&B. However reception ain't that great, the so-called "not welcoming"."
