"The property was cold and the device to set the temperature seemed to be out of battery. It was somewhat hard to find, and when we entered there was a vacuum cleaner sitting in the hallway. Parking can be hard to find, and the owners' emails seemed to be automatic and not responsive."

"When we arrived at the lodge we were supposed to be staying in there was another family there who said the lodge they were supposed to be staying in was occupied so they were given this lodge. "Our stay at Biggin Hall was generally good. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful without being ingratiating. Our room was comfortable and clean, but a little tired in parts and could have done with some TLC, more so in the bathroom than in the bedroom. "Owners and staff were welcoming and the room was spacious, full facilities, warm. Approx 9 miles from Buxton, a rural but convenient for access. Adjacent to a main road, but no disturbances for sleep with the rooms to the rear of the pub. Enjoyed the well presented food. Lovely fish & chips.
