"I was shocked how this hotel has changed for the worse. £10 per luggage item for storage is a rip off. Never had to pay before. Also £20 for a check in earlier than 3pm when the room is ready is also a rip off, so you get charged either way unless you want to carry your luggage with you. Room facilities were shocking - one capsule of milk, no hand towels and electric sockets that were intermittent working. This definitely is not as good as it used to be and we have stayed here many times. Even the 'Hudson's bar' has gone from a sumptuous cocktail bar to a poor and expensive bar with tacky stools and tables and shocking service - not like it used to be. Will will not be back!"

"Everyone is special at the Strand. Staff takes pride in their work! Although the rooms are small, it is still good value for the area. It’s in a fantastic area to walk the themes and visit Big Ben along with shopping on Oxford! "

"This was great value for 1 night, and it worked - easy check-in, etc. Capsule was easy to find, bathrooms/washrooms were a bit busy, but fine, a number of bathrooms were out of service, but there were a number free. Capsule was as you'd expect size wise, I slept okay. There is a fan, which was noisy, which could be turned on/off, so I had to balance between noise or heat. It was manageable, but it would have been much better with vented AC or something that could be passive vs what looked like (and sounded like) a bathroom fan! Overall, I'd visit again. Not sure I'd stay more than a night. I wasn't sure where you'd store things outside of the capsule (i think it exists but i was unsure why you'd need a padlock.) Clean, relatively quiet, executed quite well. "

"Avoid ...photos are fake, besides the location it is a really a bad hotel, the rooms are terrible it looks more like a prison cell that an hotel room, no windows which is terrible in itself as you need to leave to light on, else it feels like a black hole,...but also no TV, no bed table, no bed light, no chair, no shelves,.. nothing just two old beds, nothing else...ZERO FURNITURE to put your suitase, your book, no ensuite shower just a cheap ikea style show curtain...it is a tourist trap a SCAM...they know nobody will return to such a bad place so they don't care. Really depressing place even just to spend 2-3 nights...just avoid."

"The rooms are very small and the glass bathroom a little off putting! But for one night not bad value. The air conditioning was also very noisy!"
