Habitaciones en Luisa"Decent place for the location and the price. Don’t book if you are a light sleeper as the rooms are not sound proof in any way you will hear the other guests walk in late people having conversations outside like there isn’t even a wall. Room was clean and had a nice kitchen. Though the host gave me a ring of three keys and didn’t even bother to show me how to open the room and main door which proved to be difficult."

Where to stay in Madrid

Madrid Centro
Madrid Centro captivates visitors with its historic treasures and artistic soul. The Royal Palace stands majestically alongside Plaza Mayor's red arcades. World-class museums form the "Golden Triangle of Art," showcasing masterpieces from Spanish masters. Cobblestone plazas echo with street musicians as golden sunlight bathes baroque facades. The area buzzes with authentic Spanish life in its tapas bars and theatres. Traditional tabernas serve jamón ibérico while flamenco venues offer passionate performances. Metro stations connect you easily to other Madrid attractions. Morning hours reveal the true local rhythm before tourist crowds arrive.

Salamanca
Salamanca stands as Madrid's most exclusive area, where high-end boutiques line the prestigious Golden Mile shopping district. Elegant 19th-century architecture creates a sophisticated atmosphere with wide, tree-lined boulevards and stately buildings. This upscale area offers a glimpse into Madrid's aristocratic past while catering to affluent travellers. Cultural treasures abound at the National Archaeological Museum and Lázaro Galdiano Museum. The neighborhood's excellent metro connectivity via Serrano, Velázquez, and Nunez de Balboa stations makes exploring easy. Sophisticated cocktail bars and upscale restaurants showcase refined Spanish cuisine for those seeking luxury experiences.

Retiro
Madrid's elegant Retiro area surrounds one of the city's most treasured green spaces. The magnificent Retiro Park offers 300 acres of manicured gardens, tree-lined paths, and the stunning Crystal Palace. Just steps from the Prado Museum and Madrid's artistic heart, this area blends culture and tranquility. Wide pavements and excellent metro access make exploring easy. Upscale Spanish restaurants serve traditional and modern cuisine on elegant terraces. Boutique shops and artisan galleries line residential streets where locals enjoy evening strolls. The area quiets after sunset, providing a peaceful retreat from Madrid's energy.
Moncloa-Aravaca
Moncloa-Aravaca offers the perfect mix of academic energy and natural beauty in Madrid. Ciudad Universitaria buzzes with student life, while Casa de Campo park provides a peaceful retreat five times larger than Central Park. The ancient Temple of Debod glows golden at sunset in Parque del Oeste. Excellent metro connections make exploring easy from this authentic area. Students fill local tapas bars with lively conversation. The towering Moncloa Lighthouse rewards visitors with panoramic city views. Pine-scented trails through Casa de Campo offer a refreshing escape from urban life.

Sol
Sol is the vibrant heart of Madrid where Spanish history comes alive through grand plazas and royal architecture. The iconic Puerta del Sol plaza marks Spain's geographic centre with its famous clock tower. Nearby, the majestic Plaza Mayor captivates with its crimson facades and 237 balconies. Traditional tapas bars mix with international restaurants throughout the neighborhood's cobblestone streets. Street performers and flamenco shows create an authentic cultural experience after dark. With three metro stations and pedestrian-friendly zones, Sol provides the perfect base for exploring Madrid's treasures.

Top Madrid Hotel Reviews
Live It Gran Via
"The property itself was a little run down - although quite charming because it is an historical building, but the rooms, bathrooms and kitchen facilities were spotless. My room was very small but perfectly comfortable. the staff on the desk spoke adequate English (I speak no Spanish, to my shame) and were always friendly and helpful. All in all, t was definitely value for money, and I would be happy to stay there again. The only problem was that some of the residents were a bit noisy at night and left the bathrooms with very wet floors - not at all necessary if one takes a little care! But this is hardly the hotel's fault."

Senator Barajas Hotel
"Excelente servicio, excelente ubicación, logramos descansar mucho Es una muy buena opción si tienes una escala de una noche, se descansa genial"
Hotel Emperador
"Hotel was very central. Room was lovely and rooftop pool and bar were great. The only disappointment was the staff weren’t particularly helpful on the front desk, especially as there was a lot of travel disruption with a parade and protest going on, no acknowledgement of this, no option offered for breakfast, maps, reservations, or general hospitality, which was a real shame for a 4 star hotel"
Hotel Liabeny
"Located a short walk to Puerta Del Sol with lots of restaurants and bars. Very clean and quiet property."
Hotel Principe Pio
"Great location. Great bar. Friendly and convenient."
