This is a place to keep your stuff safe. It’s clean and easy to access. However it’s not that close to the city plaza of Cervantes. I walked good 15 to 20 minutes. Not your place if you are looking for hotel amenity stay. It’s very laid back. No hotel cleaning or toiletries supplies. Shower head was broken. It was a good deal and very clean. Beds not very comfortable.

actually 2 hotel-apts, Portillo not recommended

There's a bit of false advertising with this place. There are actually 2 hotel/apartments and one is nicer than the other. They should be listed separately. I do not recommend the rooms that say "Portillo" because those are actually a different building, about a 9 minute walk away from the main one --> not fun with suitcases. The rooms at the Portillo place are poor, with the lowest quality of furniture, linens, and decoration. If you have allergies, this place is not good, they use a strong and artificial air freshener. The places at Portillo would be 1 star, not 3 stars as they are advertised as (I say this as someone who has stayed in hundreds of hotels/apartments/BnBs in Spain and other countries.) However, the staff member, Edy, who helped me with my suitcases, was very kind. After an international flight, I was grateful for her help. Also, I liked that the main place serves as a kind of cultural center for the neighborhood. I think, overall, the 2 hotel-apartments, or at least the Portillo one, needs more monetary investment.

Voy dos veces al año a Alcala de Henares y no recuerdo peor sitio con este precio . No advierten que el baño está separado de la cama por un biombo pésima iluminación y mal gusto en decoración .En las fotos de anuncio no sale el baño.el patio está siempre cerrado

Repetiría mi estancia en este hotel

Entrada y salida fueron fáciles y rápidas. En la habitación Dulcinea de 4 personas una de las camas era incómoda (la del sofá cama) y la separación lavabo/water con habitación es con biombo, cosa que pienso que puede mejorarse cambiando bañera por ducha y puerta corredera. Estamos acostumbrados a tener más intimidad. En el desayuno podría ser más sostenible por ejemplo con termo de café y leche aunque tienen buenas ideas, la sala de desayuno y la conjunta con patio son muy agradables. La calle muy tranquila, la habitación silenciosa. Una estancia que recomendaría.

Séjour décevant.

Séjour quelque peu décevant. En premier lieu, nous avons appris sur le tard qu'il s'agissait d'une maison d'hôtes et non d'un hôtel, apparemment en raison d'un manque de communication entre hotels.com et l'établissement. Ensuite, nous n'avons pas été très contents de ne pas avoir de réception disponible à tout moment. Egalement au rang des déceptions, le petit-déjeuner servi la veille pour le lendemain sur un plateau dans la chambre quand nous étions à l'extérieur ne nous a pas paru en adéquation avec le petit-déjeuner compris habituel dans d'autres séjours que nous avons pu effectuer. Enfin, il a été très inconfortable pour nous de ne pas avoir de porte séparant les toilettes du lit.
