"For years now, when picking a hotel - I go with location rather than anything else. This one was a bit strange at first. I was in the single room and actually giggled when walked in. Definitely smaller than most rooms in most places I stayed, but hey - had everything for any traveler. I like to leave early and come back only to sleep. "Glorious location on the Grand Canal. The staff was excellent-clearly the most professional people are hired by the management. Breakfast, cocktail hour, and dinner were all delicious-we had no desire to look elsewhere when we could sit outside on a terrace next to the Grand Canal. Umbrellas protected us from a brief sprinkle of rain. The recommendation to visit Murano via water taxi was much appreciated. We were picked up off the hotel entrance. We didn't want to leave!"

"The room was clean and modern and most of the staff were helpful. Somehow the pier of S Maria del Giglio were closed during my 2 day stay, it almost killed me us from dragging two 28 inches suitcases and 2 carry ons (coming from Australia for 1 month of Europe trip) all the way from the next closest pier…… and there was a national strike on the day of leaving, had to cross 4 bridges and dragged suitcases again for 1km to Rialto pier…it would have been nicer if I had been informed by the hotel...
