"Exedia had a deal on this one so I snapped it up. I was not disappointed. We were upgraded on arrival to a beautiful room with private deck outside. It was a suite - with a living room and fireplace and a beautiful bedroom. We had our wine and cheese on the deck - gorgeous with trees. I actually fell asleep on the couch out there. It was so nice. Staff was really great - everyone was very helpful and friendly. The house itself is really pretty and the gardens around it nice. We didn't use our car the whole time, because we could walk to everything. I suggest springing for the parking. There isn't much parking in the area. Includes breakfast, which was pastry, bagels, fruit, yogurt, and hardboiled eggs. There is a nice dining room where it is served. All in all a true find and a great place to stay in Monterey."

"My stay was uneventful, took was quiet, clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was very basic, fro y staff were great. Recommend but there are better location hotel at this price point if you want to walk around downtown"

"The front desk staff was extremely friendly and made us feel welcomed. This encourages us to visit again. Our room and all facilities including the hot tub were clean and comfortable. Parking near our room was easy. The surrounding residential neighborhood was quiet and appeared to be safe. The beach is a 5-minutes walk from the lodge. Only drawback was that the motel is on the flight path for Monterey Airport. I heard large passenger jets overhead taking off at 5 a.m. Downstairs rooms might not hear this as much. We truly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning here in the future."

"The room was clean and staff was helpful. The room itself was nice, but definitely got warm at night. Unfortunately the fan itself made a lot of noise at night. We tried opening the window at night, but it was quite noisy. Overall, the hotel was in a very nice and convenient location. "
