"Booked because of the spa, such a disappointment. Tiles missing out of the steam room, only noticed as it wasn’t working, not one shower in the spa area working, had to go into changing rooms to shower down after sauna etc. water fountain not working. Changing rooms not much better, locker had key code locking, difficult to find one that actually worked, hair drier not working either. Such a shame it’s being run down as could be stunning."

"Extremely spacious and well equipped with one exception, given the unusually warm weather—no AC, some fans, and no screens on windows that do open. The garden has a knockout location right on the river and some rooms also have this gorgeous view, including the huge bathroom with freestanding tub. There are however a lot of stairs. Kitchen is on lowest floor. Entry and dining and parlor are on street level, and there is no bathroom on that floor. So it’s a trek from kitchen to loo. The top floor...

While some holiday rentals can feel sparse and functional, in contrast it is obvious that a lot of thought and care has been put into making the cottage feel like a home. "Incredible location close to everything, friendly staff, good value. The rooms are basic but comfortable, with nice views, lots of amenities including kettle, full bath. Llangollen is a beautiful, friendly town with local shops/no franchises. There are wonderful walks along canals to waterfalls, deserted abbeys. "

"Room 205 has ro be the worst room without a view ive ever stayed in. The noise from the extraction system was too loud for me to open the window and get some fresh air. I was very disappointed overall. However the bed was comfy and the shower pleasant. The wash hand basin was a bit of a joke being lilliputian and more akin to a tiny loo under the stairs! Breakfast was good and staff pkeasant."
