"If you want to stay in a small characterful boutique hotel in a very pleasant area of Cheltenham then look no further. The hotel has a very welcoming feel and all members of staff we met were really helpful and pleasant. The hotel has a really lovely lounge area and if we were staying longer, I would have definitely used it as a quiet reading spot, likewise the small courtyard area adjacent to the restaurant. "Beautifully maintained property with expansive grounds and hiking trails that cross the property and so it is brilliant for walking and dogs. The room we had was exceptional and came with a small garden which again was heaven for the dog. The stay in a place like this is always about the staff though, who were great. "We stayed in one of the hotels premier suites. It was too big! The decor and design were dated and the lighting and airconditioning problematic. The huge bed had sheets that weren't fitted and the bedspread wasn't very clean and had hairs and dust in evidence. "It was an okay hotel. We paid for continental breakfast and there was barely any food left and the station was messy. Ended up ordering dishes at an extra charge. Not sure it was worth a £300 stay. "

"We visited Cheltenham with our 18 month old to go to a wedding. The building is a beautiful period property but there isn’t a lift, so request a 1st floor room if you have a lot of luggage! Room was beautiful and we had a lovely view of the park. "
