"I booked online for my family of 6 with 4 small children. They woke us up in the MIDDLE of the night to tell us we had to many kids in our room and we would have to get a second room. My children were all happy sharing 2 twin beds top and tails. I just wish someone would have mentioned it at check-in while we were ALL standing there. So it doubled our cost and I had to stay in a hotel room without my husband and oldest son. Not family friendly or enjoyable. At all. "

"water pressure is too low caused by the shower's problem. The shower room is open:- half by a rotating glass: seems dangerous to break the glass. opening shower space may feel a bit cold upon showing. Water will flow outside of the shower space when the drain pipe does not run well. Personally, shower room design is not perfect. Receptions and breakfast waiters served very well. Reception Nashid helped to change room twice to avoid the neighboring room made noises."

"Had to exchange numerous e-mails with property to confirm availability and confirmation of adjoining rooms. There was NO housekeeping for the rooms over a 4 day stay, although request cards were left on the door. Had to go to the front desk to request clean towels, bed linens never changed. No refrigerator in room. Safe door was left open in locked position so safe could not be utilized. Interaction with front desk staff OK and accommodating. Breakfast buffet adequate."

"I turned up at the Bloc Hotel Gatwick Airport slightly early, but my room was ready so I was allowed to check-in. The room was comfortable and quiet."

"The location of the hotel was excellent for an early morning flight being across the road from the airport. The restaurant on the property was pretty good. Room amenities were also good and appreciated. I would definitely recommend this property."

"Cancelled 2 rooms we had booked for nearly a month due to some rooms having flooding issues. Offered us hotels over 20 minutes away which just didn’t work. Also tried to offer us to share a twin room vs having 2 separate rooms booked at another hotel. After a 5am start to get to Woking for work for the day this is the last thing that was needed. At the moment zero accountability (this may change with a full complaint letter). Will also lose a lot of generated cashback and traveller perks etc...

"Good room for a brief stay overnight and proximity to Gatwick. The sink was blocked in the room. However, the restaurant was awful. The service was terrible, with our order forgotten, and took over 1 hour to come out. Drinks to over 20 minutes. When it did arrive, it was not the quality expected of a Marriott with the meat poor quality, the cesar salad full of mayonnaise. For two mains and two drinks it cost over £70. Do yourself a favour and avoid the restaurant"

"Really good hotel and really good room. Superbly comfortable bed. Staff were super friendly and great restaurant. So close to north terminal with access via shuttle to south terminal."

"Had not been informed of extra charges, when arranging earlier check in, and checked this prior to making booking ,direct with hotel and a few days before checking in. Pool changing, had to get them to bring clean towels, as was overflowing with dirty wet ones, changing area was not clean. At breakfast had to ask for fresh eggs, as the ones available had been sitting there a while.overall experience not enjoyable."
