"There are 2 parts to this review. First the property is amazing, set in beautiful grounds with clearly marked trails and lots of birds and wildlife. All the staff are really helpful and clearly passionate about the location they work in. We did the onsite night walk and saw lots of animals including sloths, agouti, kinkajou and porcupine, alongside frogs and beautiful birds. "This place is huge and beautiful. I don’t think the pictures on the website give enough impression to show people how gorgeous this place is. Few minor maintenance repairs to be done but it looks like they renovating now. It didn’t affect our stay. Located only few minutes away from la Fortuna waterfalls. We were given free entrance tickets to Hanging bridges park for the whole family and breakfast at the restaurant that located few minutes away. Very good experience, would definitely be back if...

"The thermal pools were not maintained well at all, and I felt like they were pretty dirty with dead leaves on them and it seemed like they were not very clean. The property also seemed extremely outdated for the amount they charged us. I honestly don’t think it was worth it specially given the room in the washrooms it was giving hotel from the 1970s."

"DIRTY !! Do not stay here! All was good checking in, beautiful view...until i got to the room. The place was disgusting. Mold growing all over the outside to the inside of the rooms. Mold on the ac (that wouldn't even get cold). Ants and mold all over the bathroom, ants crawling out of the cracks in the ceiling. "The rooms were clean, staff is very friendly and aims to please. The lodge offers a simple nice breakfast. Dinner is also available if you confirm - we chose to eat off property. The road to arrive is extremely rough - potholes, less than two lanes at times - but worth it once you arrive. There was no TV in our room, I suggest making certain you have games or other entertainment. "El hotel es tal cual lo promocionan, no hay engaño, lo que si tienen que mejorar es la cobertura del internet, hay mala señal en las habitaciones, si alguien quiere trabajar debe trasladarse al área del comedor. El desayuno es bueno, pero debe variarse, todos los días es el mismo. El hotel en general esta muy bien, limpio y con mucha vegetación y tiene vista al volcán."
