"What a gem! from a warm welcome at check in to checkout Tityra lodge was a oasis in the mountains. We stayed as a family of four and and two bedrooms. The lodge was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included and although small there was plenty of choice. They even remembered my wife’s allergy which was mentioned at check in and highlighted unsuitable foods. "The houses and property were amazing! The staff was very helpful guiding my wife and I when the main road was closed for construction. As a photographer, the scenery from the balcony area was absolutely stunning! We couldn’t have asked for a better stay!"

"Staff took us to our room only to make us move again after we settled in because she took us to the wrong room, but would not admit her mistake and lied to us instead. Found large bug on our bed crawling. Found more bugs on the ceiling and mosquito flying around in the room and a large beetle on the floor. Lamb burger for dinner meat was undercooked. Told receptionist about everything and they said and did nothing. "

"Excellent location, wonderful amenities and lovely staff. We went there with our 5 year old kids and had a wonderful time. The rooms are very well equipped and accompanied with a porch that has wonderful views. I only wish they had microwave in the rooms but the staff was kind to get our milk heated for the kids. Loved the place and will certainly be our go to spot when we visit La Fortuna again. "

"Great place, we absolutely loved it, rooms were amazing. Breakfast was good but not loads of choice, it’s a little out of the way but this didn’t affect us as we had a car and the grounds made up for it. We saw sloths over the car park near the reception. "
