"Truly enjoyed my stay. I wanted something with a little character and not a typical hotel. Honestly booked just thinking it was an older Inn and didn't realize until later it was a bed and breakfast. I thought the room was a pretty decent price so was Pleasantly suprised I got a made to order breakfast with my room. The Proprietor is top notch when you need anything and is always happy to help. If you're ok with an older place with some character then I would highly recommend this place."

"The staff were some of the best we have ever met and met our needs perfectly. They ensured we had a room that was suitable and went the extra mile to achieve this so a big thank you. The property is in the process of being updated but this didn't affect our stay except perhaps to see how well it appears to be going and I'm sure when this is finished they will have a hotel to be proud of. "Well located hotel for golf at Silloth. The properties decor is a bit tired and in need of some maintenance. The days we stayed there was only one young member of staff on and she had to look after arrivals, bar work and serving of food. Naturally it was a very slow and frustrating evening for customers as she was run off her feet. How she kept a smiling face I do not know. Some of us even asked if we could help her serve behind the bar to relieve the backlog. She politely refused our offers as...

"Just come back from Gretna really enjoyed our stay the staff at the Hotel were very friendly and helpful. We dined in the restaurant and the food was lovely the staff were very attentive. Breakfast was also very good with a self service menu with a good choice of hot and cold options. We have booked to come back in July for our sons wedding so now we have experienced the hotel we are looking forward to our next stay."
