"What an awesome cabin up over a pass in beautiful country! We stayed one night while passing through and had the best gumbo ever at the restaurant as well as steak and potato soup and huckleberry cheesecake. The cabin had everything we needed including a fan and very comfy bed. The drive takes some time but the road is good, views are amazing, and the signs to Crooked Creek are marked well. "One Ski Hill Place is a beautiful resort in a prime location with great amenities—the free shuttle service was a lifesaver. The condo-style rooms are fully stocked, perfect if you want to cook. My only disappointment was the lack of recognition for my VIP status. I had to ask about perks, wasn’t offered an upgrade despite the property seeming quiet, and only received late checkout after involving a manager. They did provide a complimentary bottle of wine when I asked, which was appreciated....
