"We arrived quite late and were welcomed by the receptionist who was very helpful. Our overall short stay was good, however the bed was very uncomfortable which was a shame! The springs were palpable in the mattress and this led to a bit of disturbed sleep."

"We booked Hempstead House for a relaxing night away, but instead spent the evening listening to a wedding reception directly beneath our room. The loud music, guests partying in the courtyard and noise from people returning to their rooms meant we had a very poor night’s sleep. I completely understand that weddings are an important part of the hotel’s business, and I have no issue with the wedding itself. "This was a beautiful small hotel, 8 rooms over a pub in the centre of town. Each room is different but mine (room 5) was amazing.
