Khách sạn Stanwell , Staines

"★☆☆☆☆ – A Distressing Experience I Would Never Wish on Another Traveller I booked this property through Expedia for one night and, before travelling, emailed the owners several times to explain that I would be arriving with my trained psychiatric assistance dog. Every email was ignored. Had they simply replied before I travelled, I would have cancelled my booking and stayed elsewhere. Instead, I travelled to the property alone with four suitcases, only to be told on arrival, "We don't allow...

"Starting with the owner who was very helpful. The quaint and quiet location was ideal for getting to Heathrow Airport. Using bus 442 it was an easy short trip from across the street to Staines and an awesome amount of shopping and entertainment and restaurants. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the location was quiet, and the feel was like a bread and breakfast without the breakfast. Considering the price, location, and quality of stay I highly recommend The Lodge. If you...

"Nice, old classy place, well kept with up to date furniture and a mini frig stocked with free snacks and drinks, but the advertised free self-parking is only in the street, which fills up quickly. They have a small front yard where a few vehicles can park after checking in for a cost of ten (10) British pounds."

"It is very close to Big Ben and it was a good size room for European standards! Close to the tube station as well and lots of places to eat nearby."

"Loved this hotel for its location. The Gloucester tube station is right across the street which makes it very convenient and so many walkable options within 20 mins or so. Coffee shops and small comfort shops on the street. Cute breakfast/tea restaurant next door that you don’t want to miss. Room was very comfortable but carpets could use a shampoo. Staff were wonderfully friendly. Would stay again!"

"We loved the location, the history and the staff."

"Great l location. Beautiful property. Could use some room renovations."

"The staff in this hotel are excellent, starting from the front door. Room is very comfortable but you might ask to avoid the ground-floor handicapped accessible room if you have paid for a Deluxe room because the bathroom is less than ideal (as it must be in an accessible room). Even though this was a disappointment, the staff were super-pleasant . Excellent gym. All new Technogym equipment. Restaurant is pretty good, although if you are used to the normal serving order in a Japanese...

"Excellent location and very friendly staff"

"The location is perfect with just a 2 minute walk from the tube. Our deluxe room was a good size. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Everything was spotless and all of the staff were interacted with were friendly and helpful. We didn’t have breakfast as there are loads of great places to eat nearby. Recommend"

"The staff was very helpful. Special thanks to Hassan (apologies if I’m misspelling his name). He was of great help when dealing with an issue I faced."

"Squeaking noise going all night in the wall. Didn’t complain but should have. Just put earplugs in. 7:00 am workers going in and out of swivel doors that slammed. Terrible fishy smell in foyer, especially at night"
