"Spa and facilities were very nice, spacious steam and sauna etc. Breakfast was good. The room we stayed in ( annexe) was tired looking and basic, no walk in shower and the extractor fan didn’t work. Walls very thin and could hear the conversations of people in next room. Bed sheets looked clean but then discovered some stains on them . So we used other bed sheets. After staying in other parts of this hotel previously we were disappointed with the rooms in the annexe part"

"Great national Trust venue/hotel. Given it is old the windows rattle and no air con or fridge in the room. However if you are looking for a great place to stay with an old time experience, this could be the place for you."

"I like this hotel, and have now used it twice when I come to see my son at the university. Rooms have a classically English feel, and tastefully decorated. Very quiet. The bedroom window view wasn't brilliant (brick wall), but you could see a lot outside from the bathroom window. There was an issue with the bathroom toilet which had a very weak flush. "Only one criticism I have is about the parking .There are only 2 parking spaces at the B&B this only came to my attention when I had booked and received the welcome email/text .i was lucky while I was staying I managed to get one for the 3 days .Other than its a great place to stay very clean and well maintained ."

We arrived with friends to check in, and despite two receptionists being available, we were ignored while a couple who arrived after us were served first. "Cool. Modern clean. Lots of conveniences. Great location. Although grab and go + bar drinks were very expensive. Luckily everything was within a couple of minute walk including grocery stores. No in room fridge. No in room phone but everything else was great. Breakfast was great. Lots of options"
