"Set in stunning grounds I wasn’t sure what to expect from the interior. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The spa is very nice the changing rooms were adequate you need £1 coin for the locker but the pool and treatment rooms were very nice. The sun loungers were a little tired and worn and they are very close to the ground so getting in and off them can be somewhat tricky. "Lovely hotel and the staff were lovely. Our Room was nice, but sadly the bathroom was terrible. If you went for a shower the bath would fill with water because the plug was stuck closed and the door handle to the bathroom was falling off. "

"Great location, lobby was very nice and had lots of sesting. The bar has great deals for students and we saved a lot of money eating and drinking here, plus it was yummy. Room was big and clean and the TV worked well. Gym was small but it was perfect for me to do a quick workout. Breakfast was good as well and had tons of options!"

"Friendly staff, was able to have and early check-in. Tidy Rooms and plenty of space for bags and can store under the bed. Great selection for breakfast buffet and nice atmosphere dining room was also bar area. Only slight negative which can't be helped due to age/ design of building is thst the lifts are a bit cramped especially when there's 2 of you with full luggage but you can make it work. Definitely recommend as a place to stay and would stay again if ever back in UK and visiting York and...
