"AMAZING PLACE TO STAY"

"We chose to return to this hotel because we enjoyed it so much the first time. About 5.00pm each night the day trippers leave and the serenity and beauty of Murano is compelling. It is quiet, rooms are comfortable and staff, especially at breakfast are delightful. The breakfast selection is huge and high quality with as much coffee or tea (or prosecco) as you want. There are five or six excellent restaurants within easy walking distance and the shopping is amazing. "

"I was not happy with my experience. Had to wait outside with no instructions how to get in when finally a guest opened the door only because he was on his way out!! Waited over 20 minutes after a long day taking trains and boat ride. They even make you pay for a bottle of water!"

"This is an exceptionally overpriced hostel that markets itself as a hotel. It is reminiscent of student halls of residence. Although the bed linen was clean, there was excrement on the hall floor. The shower tray was slow to drain and the automatic light in the bathroom seldomly worked. Breakfast was basic and not particularly enjoyable. The staff at breakfast were not very attentive, again feeling like a student canteen."

"It's hard not to love this place. Excellent location in a quiet nook. Beautiful garden with ample seating. Very charming. Very Venetian. Very peaceful. I believe there are only 15 rooms in the hotel giving the hotel a boutique feel. In a lively city like Venice, it truly was a very nice retreat. The staff was very friendly yet not overly helpful. The other guests were truly considerate. That being said, if you read previous Expedia reviews, the hotel gets high marks on all categories except...

"We very much enjoyed our stay at the Villa Viridia! As we approached the hotel after walking a short distance from the San Marcuola vaporetto stop, we were pleasantly impressed at how well the outside was maintained with its enclosed courtyard. Inside the lobby, we were also impressed by how beautiful and updated the decor was. At the reception desk, the very friendly staff gave us an area map and highlighted various restaurants and activities we might be interested in. After we checked in,...

"The place isn’t much to look at when the boat docks but step inside and it is quiet and peaceful. Front desk staff, Simon and Ned were extremely helpful in their explanations. The room was large and beautiful with strong water pressure in the shower! You can enjoy a full breakfast everyday and in the afternoon a room is set up with coffee, tea, pastries and there is wine for a fee. They arranged transport for us from the airport to hotel and hotel to Chioggia for our cruise and all was on time...

"Great location in Venice, a short walk to St Mark’s Square. Room was consistent with Venetian style decor. Also overlooks the canal and a bridge which makes it a wonderful place for taking photos. Opening the door through the app was not straightforward but there is option to get a physical key instead. Check in was done online and was hassle free. Room was ready when we arrived. Would stay here again."

"We had a suite. It was room 403. While it was spacious, it could have been better lit. I found it difficult to see clearly in some areas of the suite. There were portions of hard wood along with carpeted areas, however the carpeted areas could have been cleaner. The staff were very helpful, friendly, and kind. Overall a very good experience."

"Nice big Clean Room, was an issue getting in the front door to access our room to start with, after two long flights and a stressful journey was not expected! Then the next day the card to get into property again would not work, Thank God for Whats App and quick communication, this was quickly sorted! Would stay here again, location was great and close to many cafes and bars etc. Nice touch with drinks in the fridge and a bottle of bubbles from our host too, Thank you Samantha 😊"
