"Lovely place ! The main pub/ hotel was beautifully furnished - airy and spacious . Room was good - except for the lack of natural light and due to the intense heat , we needed to keep the door open as the window was quite small . The bottle of cold water was welcome / staff were very good"

"It wasn't anything the website said. Didn't get a very good welcome. The outside signage said luxury bed and breakfast it wasn't, it was very basic. Room was small and hot, no window to open. No toiletries. The sink was tiny so couldn't fill the kettle."

Staff were brilliant, both behind and front of bar. Ate there 2 nights, fantastic both times. Another cracking pub within walking distance. Continental breakfast spot on. Would I stay again, without a doubt. "

"Breakfast was excellent. The room was spacious and nicely decorated, but needs some updating. Thete was plenty of space for more drawers for clothes, a table/ rack for a suitcase , and a small table between the chairs would have been useful. The pool and spa area was excellent. The gardens are lovely. The restaurant was heavily influenced by spice - too much for older taste buds, but the chef was accommodating! "

"We stayed here for one night whilst visiting Chester. Although, not directly in the centre, it is only a lovely 15 minute walk along the canal to get there. The hotel is modern, with reception located at the bar. The atmosphere was lively and you also get a complimentary drink voucher on check in. A nice touch. "Clean room, did what it needed to do a bed with an ensuite. Felt very dated. Complimentary breakfast was delicious, and the gym had basic equipment but good enough to get a good gym session in. Extremely gorgeous location and perfect for going into Chester. Reasonable car park price. Only negative was I didn’t appreciate being asked for my card details - account expiry and cvc outline publicly and was not told how it would be stored or removed. "Clean well laid out and comfortable room. Good sized fridge, lots of well placed sockets and a large bathroom made it an easy stay. We found easy parking nearby in public car parks. Helpful staff and we would stay there again."
