"Modern renovation, while retaining some original features (e.g. flagstone floor in cafe area). Clean and comfortable. Everything was self service so no staff on site (a bit impersonal but not really an issue). Definitely a good option for fellow solo visitors to the area."

"Hotel is an easy 20 minute walk from York train station. The hotel is extremely clean and well maintained with very comfortable beds. Rooms have everything you could need including hair dryers, irons, and a refrigerator. Service from everyone was excellent, and included suggestions for meals and sightseeing from the front desk help."
