"Lovely old hotel offering value for money a good breakfast and parking."

"Before arriving at the property, I specifically asked whether I could have a quiet room. A member of staff responded that I would be given a room on the third floor. The room itself was quiet, so initially I was pleased. However, the guests staying directly across the corridor had a dog, which started barking very early in the morning. As a result, getting any proper sleep was practically impossible. I had specifically made the request for a quiet room in advance, so it was disappointing that...

"We only booked one night as we were attending a show at the Princess theatre...kind of glad as our room was sadly in need of maintainence and cleaning."

"If you’re staying with a lager dog (mine is a springer spaniel) you’ll be put in one of the rooms under the Appleby’s bar. As a result the rooms are dated and in desperate need of updating, and being under the outside area of the bar it’s very noisy (Saturday night especially). I requested a room change and the manager was very accommodating and moved me to a room that was a lot nicer but still on the front below the bar because of my dog. Staff were very friendly and helpful and recommended...

"Friendly staff, very clean room and comfortable bed. Good choice of breakfast. Great location for the marina, bars and restaurants. Overall a great experience and would return ☺️"

"Julia and Jamie were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Breakfast was freshly cooked every morning, with plenty of choice available. The seafront with lots of restaurants and amenities are within walking distance, making it a very convenient location. The mattress was a little too firm for our liking. We would also have appreciated the option of later breakfast slots (the latest slot was 9-9.15am) and blackout curtains/blinds in the bedroom, which would have allowed us to...

"Would have been nice to have a nicer place to sit out side other the bench tables not suitable for people with disabilities"

"Brilliant hotel with many things to keep the family entertained. Great breakfast. Room could do with some updating but location brilliant too. Would definitely stay again."

"Great location, but some room for improvement Great location, just a stone’s throw from the main beach in Torquay. The flat had all the amenities we needed for cooking, which was a plus. Unfortunately, there were a few things that let the stay down. The dining table only seats two people, despite the flat accommodating four. This meant our children had to sit at the table while we ate standing at the kitchen counter. Although the toilet looked clean, there was a noticeable smell of urine. The...

"Fantastic hotel Staff & owners are very special to their guests 3 time staying here outstanding breakfast"

"Julie and Gary were absolutely lovely and super helpful. They helped heat up milk for our little one and were friendly the hole time. I would say I think personally found the mattresses slightly uncomfortable, may be a preference. The only true negative, so the reason it was not 5 stars for us was the shower was weak, so couldn't just stand underneath it, had to hold it over the body part to clean. Aside that, amazing place, lovely people! Thank you both."

"Excellent all round and fantastic food at breakfast"

"Staff was kind and helpful. Services was also clean"

"The Berberry is a great place to stay, just 10 minutes walk from the station or the seafront, and offers a very comfortable bed with a great breakfast to set you up for the day ahead!!! We were warmly welcomed, and the information Steve shared about local restaurants helped us to find some delicious seafood even on a bank holiday weekend!! Wendy’s delicious homemade cake was a lovely addition to a relaxing cuppa in the garden on our arrival, and the breakfast menu covers all tastes, including...

"Brilliant apartment Stunning decor Beautiful taste As a disabled lady, we found from parking the car to unlocking the apartment door, it was easy as all on one floor. There is a lift to get to the restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. One one point, we could not find an ice tray x"

"Had a lovely stay at Kethla house, location was good. Bed was very comfortable owners were very welcoming and friendly. Really enjoyed the breakfast as well. Would definitely recommend."
