"We have stayed at Ascot House four times now and it has been u over sally excellent. Immaculately clean, quiet and very comfortable. Perfect for a stay in York. Good breakfast, reasonable parking. Actually good parking but this may depend on how full the hotel is but can park in street outside if needed.
Pleasant staff, unobtrusive but helpful. Altogether a very nice b and b at reasonable price. "

"A truly wonderful stay over the festive period. The new spa is lovely and room 452 was SO quiet and spacious, highly recommended.
The only downside which I pointed out two years ago is that the shower lets the room down as it’s not powerful enough and looks dated too. A short taxi ride or lovely walk into the centre with everything you could wish for. Please note valet parking is £39.50 and the Soa £45 per person in addition to the room. Concierge and FOH staff are very attentive. Breakfast is...

"This was a real last minute booking, but what a winner. The guest house was wonderful. The room was very comfortable (didn't want get out of the bed).
Such an individual look to each room. Made a nice change from the usual Travelodge/Premier Inn ordinariness.
