"Room was clean, plenty available for breakfast. Quiet location"

"Having stayed a few times over the years we knew what to expect . As usual all the staff were helpful and cheerful. However we stayed in room 6 overnight on a very hot day and night so the room was very uncomfortably hot and made sleeping a problem. We did notice there was an air conditioning unit in the ceiling which was not operating and there was no way to control it. Very disappointing, it would have made a big difference on such a hot night. Nevertheless we look forward to our next stay,...

"This was our second time in the hotel. We asked for the same room (in advance) and we got it . I wish there was air conditioning in the rooms. I love the little tea room with daily cake! It makes me feel like on a skiing holiday in a chalet"

"Charming hotel in tranquil setting but with very easy access to major road networks. We were a bit worried that the hotel might be noisy but even after a large prom event all was very peaceful and quiet by 11.30pm. Staff were very helpful and friendly and our room was very spacious, tastefully appointed and had a very comfy bed. Would definitely return."

"Wow! The most beautiful nights stay at The Peacock, the scenery, the room, the food, the staff. I didn't want to leave. I LOVED the little touches - the Peacock shortbread, the glass bottles for water/milk, bath salts. I've stopped in a lot of hotels and I have to say this stay beats them all. Perfect! Thanks so much. "Stayed for business. Wifi poor, furniture very worn, generally needs some TLC. TV had no signal and staff seemed to be aware of issue but it has never been fixed. Food good ans parking easy."
