"The location, description, and fee did not match. Upon arrival, I felt like I was going into a motel. There was people hanging around the “hotel” and I arrived around 6pm. These folks were not clean in appearance. I chucked it up as it wasn’t directly onto the property. Check in was smooth but as I made my way to my room the “hotel” of an aroma of a dirty baby and overflowing trash. Trash was left out and housekeeping wasn’t on top of things. I unfortunately didn’t have the funds in flexibility...

"Charged for early check in @ 2pm. I have never in my life been charged for an early check in at a hotel. I had travelled to attend a wake. Got to hotel around 2pm to change into suit for a wake @ 4pm about 1 hour away. Charge fee was not on information sheet on Expedia confirmation information. Hotel did not want to budge. Called Wyndham Hotels corporate, said they could do nothing as they were a franchise. Spoke to a supervisor, they said they would look into and have not heard back....

The hotel was under construction but the room was spacious, clean and AC worked great. The breakfast is included but barely edible. "Beautiful historic hotel. We had a great comfortable room. The staff we met Sarah and Glen were professional, very helpful and sweet people. The breakfast was very good. No hot eggs, or pancakes etc but it was everything else. Great Great endless coffee. A newspaper to read and it was quiet and very comfortable. I will come back .The restaurant looked fabulous. next time I will try dinner there."

"What a disappointment booked 2 rooms- I would have left the property but had elderly parents and we traveled all day and were exhausted. Rooms smelled musty and cigarette. Hole in sheet, blood on comforter, hair in bathroom. Parents sink wouldn’t drain- had to take cold showers water would not regulate- oh my heard traffic the whole time we were there along with noisy hallways-such a disappointment cause it was ideal to who we were visiting. Desk person was a bit grumpy"

"This is a truly lovely property. The grounds are exquisite and include a 75' lap pool and lovely patio and area for artist retreats. Nice robes, comfy linens, a fabulous shower. Fireplace that throws a good amount of heat and easy to use air conditioning. Good instruction book. Some small details were overlooked--a nice coffee nook to make tea or coffee but no water available to use or drink."

"Overall, this was a good hotel, and I enjoyed my stay, but I did experience a few issues that future guests should be aware of. First, the air conditioning unit was quite loud. Whenever it was running, it made it difficult to hear the television, and I could not find a way to completely turn the heating/air conditioning system off.
