"Room was clean but whole floor smelt of cigarette smoke. It’s a shame because the rooms are letting down the hotel as the rest of the hotel is very nice and it could be a top spot to visit. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the grounds were stunning! Food was also great but more on the expensive side. I had the burger on the menu (£18) it did come with chips and was tasty! Good place to stay if you want a short stay but it could do with some TLC"

"Pros: Our room was spacious and very clean. Breakfast was good with a variety of things on offer. Staff were friendly and polite. Location was excellent for restaurants, shops and theatre. Cons: The bed was very uncomfortable, lots of plumbing noise when the toilet was flushed and when the shower was in use. Also plumbing noise in our room when other rooms flushed their toilets, like a weird chirping noise. We unfortunately had noisy neighbours arguing and crashing and banging until 1am (this...

"Had to pay for parking each night. Room was dated. No full English paid between £7-£9 pound for breakfast to find out that in the mornings it would be a toasties coffee and fruit to take away. The restaurant was only Indian food and empty and closed most of time. They did not say on website there is no bar. When we arrived they said it was a dry bar no alcohol! Would not book here again! Asked for wine glass got told we don’t usually hand out in case we steal it! Eventually they gave me a glass....
