Ideal location for what we wanted. Lovely clean hotel, recently renovated. Had just reopened when we visited, so a few teething issues, ran out of a lot of drinks, not enough breakfasts for people that had reserved a breakfast. Hotel was sold out due to Chelmsford part in the park. Overall lovely stay, some nice restaurants and bars, cafes close by.
I attended for a Business Network meeting and stayed overnight at the hotel. I was in room 141, which was clean and comfortable. However, there was no natural light into the room and the lighting in the room is poor. The curtains were ill fitting and let the light in through the night from outside lighting. After the business network meeting, went into the bar area to get a drink and no members of staff were present, nor at reception. It was like a ghost town. On my way to my room bumped into 3 members of staff who let me know they were heading back to the reception/bar/restaurant area. At this point it was getting late, so had a drink, ordered a pizza to take and eat in my room.
Nicely appointed room and entrance area. Handy location with good access to the motorway network. Would stay here again. Large car park to the front of the premises.
I had a great stay at the palms. I stayed for four days for a wedding event that took place in the event center. The staff were warm and most especially Nicholas at the front office also the housekeeping team that came in every morning for the room cleaning. The entire team was helpful.
The Palms is near Harold Wood station, where you get on the Elizabeth line to take you to Heathrow airport or connect other places in the UK. Amber cabs are available to take you to the train stations or anywhere you want to go. Overall, I had an amazing time and will definitely visit again.
The young lady on front desk was amazing she was helpful and professional the rooms a clean.over all amazing stay and a big thanks to the two cleaners they was brilliant.I will definitely recommend this hotels
False represented themselves as a spa in which they are not all in any capacity are or can be classed as.
Upon arrival to the property I asked what time does the poor and spa open and the guy behind neural reception said to me we do not have a spa or a pool I don't understand.
I have just recently been diagnosed with a shoemart in January my partner of recent had moved back from Portsmouth to RM12 at his parents due to his dad being diagnosed with dementia we have not seen each other for over three months I have two days off and my little girl was away with my dad so I booked this place to have two days relaxed as a spa and to spend time with him and it was somewhere within the location that was close to his dad and mum's home due to his dementia's condition.
I traveled there and paid over 220 pound to find out the fact that they falsely represented themselves as a spa in which they do not have any no never have had those amenities or are spa never have been.
Very helpful and friendly team. Room larger than expected. Bed was king size rather than a double and very comfortable. Bathroom very clean. Parking available.
Overall excellent value. On the negative side, the Wifi is awful but it is being upgraded. And the reception for my.mobile was hit and miss.

Liked: Staff & service
Disliked: Room comfort
Good location for those taking exams at the Romford center, however beds we extremely uncomfortable! Size of rooms were good though compared the prison cell like rooms at the spark Hilton. Another plus was the parking was free too.
The member of staff on the front desk was very rude and not at all helpful. Overall the hotel was fairly clean and perfect for us to stay after watching a gig close by. Breakfast was not great, overpriced for the quality.
The hotel itself is still under renovation, but the room was clean and well put together. The room did not have any aircon or fan, and we visited when it was very warm and the rooms were so hot. Restaurant not open yet and there is nothing around that is walkable to get food.
Nice, clean and renovated (building work is still going on in hotel grounds). Free parking. It has a ground floor and first floor but doesn’t have a lift (we did not have heavy suitcases so no problem for us). The only thing to highlight is that there is no room AC or central air conditioning. So staying in summer months when outside temperature is hot can be uncomfortable.
Bed was queen size and comfortable, room was spacious and clean.
