"Beautiful rooms, I've never seen so many light switches and sockets to plug into ! let down by poor maintenance on the bathroom doors, which didn't close due to not fitting in the frame by a few cm! Maybe they were just being installed, but not great when you can't close the door. We had a very fancy fan, but would be cautious booking without air-con in the hotter times. "Typical older British hotel, adequate but not up to modern standards. Room and bed were comfortable. Breakfast was good and the staff pleasant. Car park is around the back and is fine but it isn't that easy to find the way in. Peeling wallpaper in my bedroom was a low point."
