Gatlinburg River Inn

"The room was clean and kept clean daily. The staff was friendly and helpful. Pool and hot tub were clean and working. Towels available for the pool/hot tub area. Good variety of places to sit or lounge at the pool. The area by the river with chairs and fire pits was nice as well. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony overlooking the river. Beds were pretty comfortable. Not the best I've slept on, but certainly not the worst. Room had TV, refrigerator and microwave. Lighting could have been better and the plug situation between the beds could have been better. There was a device on the bedside table that should have been able to be used for charging, but none of the ports worked. There was no closet to hang clothes in. It's an older hotel that has had some maintenance, but needs a bit more inside the rooms. We did feel safe there. It is right by the Purple Trolley stop, which was nice. Breakfast was ok, but not great. Coffee was good. There was some fresh fruit, yogurt, bread products and waffle maker. Typical motel "scrambled eggs" and sausage and biscuits and gravy. We ate there the first morning, but found another restaurant for the other two mornings of our stay."

"We stayed at the Brookside Lodge for a short weekend in the smokies. We were greeted with the sweetest front desk staff and a thank you gift for staying with them. Our room was clean and everything was in working condition. This hotel is within walking distance to most attractions. It was quiet at this location and there is even a trolley stop right in front of the hotel if you’re unable to walk very far. We will be returning to this location on our next trip to the smokies. I would also like to add that out of every location we’ve stayed at in the past this is the only place where the pictures on the site are exactly what you get when you show up. Overall it’s a great location to stay."

"Nice place to stay, this was our second time staying here. The biggest issue we had on both visits is the lack of water pressure in the shower. We had a hot tub room and pressure for filling it was great but the shower pressure is Bad! It's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. Amenities are very nice and location is Great. Parking lot is very nice!"
