"The room was clean; all the staff was kind and useful, the ac was working, my belongings were safe, and I felt safe in my room. However, the hotel is located in an area that is run-down, with litter on the street, garbage piled on the corner, walls nearby with graffiti, and outside noise from the subway. Although, being close to the subway was essential for me, and close to where I needed to be."

"The Nova Hotel has become our place to stay when we're in the area for a concert. It's well situated near the L, and although the area looks a little rough, we feel safe. There are several coffee spots/cafes in the area, too. The staff are friendly and helpful, especially Sam who checked us in. The amenities aren't special, but they're fine. Bed was comfy, shower felt great, and the large glass wall/window looking over to Manhattan was great. The room seemed clean and although small, it was just what we needed. Next stay we hope to be able to check out the rooftop bar."

"Staff could be friendlier. The common areas seem to be overcrowded by people who are not staying at the hotel, which is fine but something to be mindful of. Overall, this hotel was a 10/10. The staff at the rooftop bar could be friendlier. "

"I have stayed here a few times but the last two times, the rooms were horrible. My most recent stay, I had to request a room switch because I was initially given a room with no windows. I also dropped my necklace behind the dresser. When I went to look for it, I saw that it was very dirty underneath the dresser. There were items left underneath by previous occupants. They need to do better."

"Stayed here early May. The staff was very nice, however the first night we noticed our shower was not very clean. There was hair and other things on the shower floor. We called and asked if they could have housecleaning just stop by and clean the shower, as everything else was ok. They said they would. When we got back that evening, the beds were made, and fresh towels were given but the shower didn’t look much different. Other than that, we had a pleasant stay."

"I really like this hotel. The location is prime and its easy to get to Manhattan. I just think the hotel needs to upgrade and do a renovation ASAP. The day staff was kind, but the night shift was not friendly AT ALL."
