"Property is very peaceful and quiet. Can walk the the whole beach and never see anyone else. Beach is beautiful but not great for swimming during low tide. Good snorkeling out at the reef but probably about a 500m walk during low tide and pretty rough water while we were there; water shoes are a must! We stayed in one of their newer bungalows which was very clean and well appointed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Not much to do in the area but relax, however town is only about a 10-15min...

"I really enjoyed my stay at Maravu Taveuni Resort. My bure was beautiful, with the added charm of an outdoor shower, and felt tucked away in the jungle while still offering stunning sunset views over the ocean. "Lovely hosts and a wonderful view. The host and her family are simply lovely folks and we felt so welcome. This is a small, family run property and they could not have been nicer. So glad we made this choice. It was terribly humid but the room was a reprieve from the steamy walk to town. Wi-Fi was fine. I never tried the TV because being here was a nice respite from the US."
