"The hotel was absolutely clean and beautifully decorated with a classy nautical theme. We had to pay for breakfast at the hotel. Though the service was good, I would have liked more food options. "

However, I don’t appreciate having someone knock on my door at 0800hrs and find it’s housekeeping , because they are busy and want to clean my room. I did decline and Told them to leave my room, just empty my bin. I went for a 0900hrs breakfast and they must have been short of staff as there was no bread, coffee machine was empty and no cutlery readily available. "We were really disappointed on arrival as the hotel was covered in scaffolding and the entrance looked much more like a 1970s multi-storey carpark than a 4* hotel. The stairs (the lift was out of order), reception area and room were very dated. The soundproofing in the bathroom was non-existent (my wife could hear everything next door). Having said that the beds were comfortable, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was ok."
