"This was an excellent experience in a 3* hotel. Staff in every department from inital check in until leaving and everything in between was superb. "Wow! An incredible hotel. I was given a free upgrade with a balcony and a view of the Matterhorn. The room was amazing. Plenty of space and excellent decor. Breakfast had a good selection. Staff were friendly, My room was decorated for my birthday. Spa area, again Wow! This hotel has to be one of the top hotels Ive stayed in. "

"Hotel Matthiol was our favorite stay in Switzerland! The hotel is tucked just outside the main part of Zermatt, which made it feel peaceful and private, but it was still an easy walk into town, and the complimentary shuttle was a nice bonus. We stayed in a spa room with a sauna, steam shower, and a big soaking tub right by the window overlooking the mountains. "Absolutely would stay again. Check in was easy (as long as you are even slightly tech savvy), room was clean, bed was comfortable, bathroom was gorgeous. Shower did have a 30 second - 60 second timer, but was no big deal, great for eco-friendliness. Ski storage available, coffee (vending machine), and snacks available on main floor. Quiet stay, with gorgeous views from 360* around the building. About a 10 minute walk out of the main area of town, so would have to be okay with the walk, but there...
