Nothing was done all night . We and other guests tried to get someone in room to respond by banging loudly at 4am. We assumed either dead or heavily intoxicated . "If you have mobility issues, this may not be the hotel for you. Our room 214 was up 3 flights of narrow stairs. Housekeeping needs to do a Thorough cleaning more often. I'm not a fan of seeing cobwebs in the corners of the floors. The bed was comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It is not walkable into town. Everyone we talked to said it was one of the best hotels in town."

"I had a one night stay and needed basic accommodation, this sufficed. If staying be aware, I hadnt realised check in is before 7pm unless you advise (it was on the literature I just hadn't read it). My only hesitation to stay again is all the locks are electronically operated, and no one is on site. To feel safer as a lone traveller I would prefer to have a chain, or internal lock to the door in addition, in case the electrics failed at night and my room door would effectively be open."

"Really lovely stay at the Angus. Room was spotless and very comfortable. Staff are all friendly, and attentive. Spa was quite basic (pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi) but still lovely to be able to go for a swim. However, the area round the pool and spa needs some maintenance as there was plaster broken off walls, missing tiles and the roof has obviously had some kind of issue.
