"Lovely stay again staff always polite and helpful had 2 dogs with us this time plenty of room for them to spread out n their blankets room clean nice to have a small table and chairs great breakfast and good choice thank you Alton house see you again "
"Quiet area, nice owners and bar staff. A nice rustic countryside feel. Some wear and tear around the property and in the basic bedroom, could use some love (springy mattress). Not any shops nearby but plenty of pubs. Water in the room would have been good. "

"Old style boozer with rooms above in a bit of a ram-shackle state. Very basic and in a state of disrepair in parts. Bathroom door only on by one hinge, bathroom with bare plaster board and lots of tools and cleaners trolleys in the hallways and a strange diy metal fire escape. Was unable to re enter the hotel to get something we forgot when we left early one morning. Despite this it was a cheap and cheerful place to stay. "

"Love this place on the Thames very friendly staff and a wonderful buffet breakfast. Walking distance from shops and local pubs. A must visit if you are going to London Staines."
