"Nice clean hotel. My double room was clean and comfortable and was equipped with tea & coffee making equipment along with a decent TV and en-suite shower. The restaurant / bar areas looked nice and the bar well stocked and had three ales on hand pumps. There was an also pleasant outside seating area and the car park was secured overnight. The manager Nathan (Nat) was very welcoming and all the staff seemed friendly enough. All in all I had a pleasant overnight stay with complimentary continental breakfast in the morning."

"Agree with all the other reviews - nice historical building in a central area, and lovely friendly staff. But room was rundown - dusty throughout, musty odour, lots of rust and limescale in the bathroom. Bed was comfy. A fine experience. Lift wasn't working. "

"A wonderful, peaceful break at Borrowfield Lodge. With all the styling and privacy, You can feel like you're way out in the countryside, despite being within easy travel distant of plenty of things to do in Derby. A perfect place to unwind and relax. Great facilities, spotlessly clean and comfortable. I'll definitely be booking again."

"Perfect for a one night stay in Derbyshire. Booked two rooms, messaged on the day to request one set up as double, one set up as twin. Message acknowledged and rooms set up as requested. Very clean room and bathroom. Good amount of space for the price. No noise, from other guests, so perfect nights sleep. The hotel is separate from the pub next door. Would definitely book again without hesitation. Electric car chargers from Osprey and Instavolt on site."
