This water tower visible from the interstate passing through Florence KY has an interesting history. The developers of the yet to be built Florence Mall gave the land to build the water tower to the city in return the tower would be painted as an advertisement reading FLORENCE MALL. Completed in 1974, the water tower almost immediately came under scrutiny for violating the state's law on sign height. The $472 solution? Modify the 'M' into a 'Y', giving the water tower its now famous southern salutation.

The room I was initially put in had a leaking faucet and broken lamp, but the desk staff addressed this problem immediately by putting me in another room. Location is excellent, and the Art Deco decor of the lower floors is beautiful.
