The first room I was given was totally fine and lovely but I was concerned about my sleep schedule with an early morning work event. The super friendly front desk helped me change my room to a better sleep situation for me and were kind and understanding regarding the situation. I received a personal follow up email from the manager checking on how my stay was. Always love staying at the Wythe for these reasons!
Great stay at the Wythe. The rooms are a good size for a New York hotel. Fresh, modern, and comfortable Not a lot of room in lobby area and morning coffee option is only until 7:00.

Not quite what we expected.
We stayed four nights. Cleanliness was good. The main selling point is location - one block from our daughter’s apartment so I guess it was worth it. A better hotel that I would put in this category of slightly hip upscale hotels is the Ludlow on the lower east side. Every time we stay there we end up telling five friends about it. The Wythe is just meh. Things are a little broken like the door handle to the bathroom. No drawers for clothes etc so you can hang a few items and I guess the rest just stays in your suitcase. There was a shelf where we could have placed our folded clothes. The service is basic disinterest from the checkin staff. I’m not sure it was a lack of training or whether it’s just the personality of the people who have been hired. We had a red light blinking on our phone and called down to find out why and the gal at the front desk had no idea why or what we could do about it and had no thought that she should ask someone else if they knew. At no point were we made to feel welcome or taken care of. It’s not rudeness, just cluelessness about service. The person opening the front door was pleasant enough. There is a lot of noise and activity off the main lobby but the lobby is nothing much and not a place to spend time. We asked for a pot of hot water at one point but we didn’t specify a mug was needed and a mug was not delivered. Drink out of the pot I guess? This hotel has a good reputation - if your expectation aren’t too high you will be fine.
Overall our stay was very good! The rooms are comfortable. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived after the 3:00 PM check-in time but they quickly found us another room. Took a long time to get an iron and ironing board sent up to the room. Woukd have been nice if there was already one in the room.

Fine but pricey
Fine but pricey for what it was. Hotel shows a bit of wear around edges, could use some paint. Cold concrete floors.
We stayed in a room with bunk beds and were surprised to find a little patio outside our door which was a real treat. This hotel is clean and well cared for, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We would stay there again. The fact that there is no parking was a bit of a headache, but we used the valet service of a nearby hotel, so it was not too much of a problem
We had the King Suite with a Manhattan view. Our room was lovely, beautiful and cozy. They are dong construction currently, so sadly the roof top bar isn't there and there was construction sounds starting at 10am. But we didn't mind. We were sad about not knowing the bar wasn't there. It was the main reason for our stay.
Such a pleasant stay! The restaurant and lounge were not open due to COVID but we are definitely going to come back for the full experience. We stayed in the Manhattan King and the view is worth every single penny.
